BALTIMORE - Joseph Child of First Republic
Mortgage Corporation in Annapolis was elected
and installed as the new volunteer president
of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Professionals
(MAMP) during the Association's Annual Conference
and Exposition held March 11-12 in the Baltimore
Convention Center.
Child
succeeds Tina McKay of Ivanhoe Financial,
as the chief elected officer of MAMP. In addition
to Child, MAMP members elected Ralph Dawson
of Ram Financial Group as their president-elect.
Suzi
Lawrence, CRMS, of Mortgage Guaranty Insurance
Corporation was elected vice president and
Joseph M. Brown, Jr., CRMS of Premier Equity
Mortgage, LLC, was elected as treasurer.
Complimenting
the officers of the Association, MAMP is led
by a team of volunteers who serve on its board
of directors. Elected to the board this year
were Glen Cook of National City Home Equity,
Christine Cross of Bank of America, Richard
Muller of Northstar Mortgage, and Larry Pendleton,
IV, CRMS of Legend Mortgage Corp.
Continuing
to serve on the PGMS Board are Hunter Bloch
of Annapolis First Mortgage, Charles DiPino,
Jr., of Universal Trust Mortgage Corp., Tom
Krazinsky of Express Financial Services, Bevon
Stennet of Mortgage America Bankers, LLC,
and Christine Wagner of Charter One Mortgage
Corp.
Thomas
C. Shaner, a Certified Association Executive
serves the Board as MAMP Executive Director.
The
induction of officers took place on the first
day of the MAMP Convention for which more
than 1,200 mortgage professionals and affiliates
were in attendance. MAMP leaders are already
at work planning the 2004 MAMP Annual Convention
and Exposition which will take place in the
Baltimore Convention Center, March 16-17.
