BALTIMORE - Larry
Pendleton of Legend Mortgage in
Olney was elected and installed as the new
volunteer president of the Maryland Association
of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB) during ceremonies
at the Center Club in Baltimore last night.
He succeeds Suzi Lawrence,
CRMS of MGIC in Ellicott City,
as the leader of the 1,250-member nonprofit
professional organization.
Pendleton
has been an active member of MAMB's legislative
and education committees. He has also been
instrumental in the Association's Annual Children's
Christmas Party. Pendleton has been very active
on the group's Board of Directors having served
as vice president and president elect.
In
addition to Pendleton, the members of MAMB
elected and installed Charles
DiPino, Jr. of Universal Trust
Mortgage Corp. in Columbia as their new president-elect
and Hunter Bloch
of Annapolis First Mortgage in Hanover as
vice president.
Glen
Cook
of National City Home Equity in Gaithersburg
and Joseph M. Brown,
Jr., CRMS of Premier Equity Mortgage
in Randallstown will continue to serve as
secretary and treasurer, respectively.
Elected
to the two-year terms on the associations
board of directors were: Eric
Gates of Apex Home Lones in Bethesda,
Timothy J. Gough,
CBM of First Republic Mortgage
in Largo, Bevon Stennett
of Mortgage America Bankers, LLC in Silver
Spring, and Christine
Wagner of Aegis Wholesale in Arnold.
Continuing
on the MAMB Board are: Brooks
Bosley, CRMS of Washington Mutual,
Jacki Channer of Gateway Mortgage Services,
Richard Muller
of Northstar Mortgage, Michael
Parsons of Nationwide Home Mortgage,
and Charles Reid
of VirtualBank Mortgage.
Thomas
C. Shaner, CAE
and Heather Waldschmidt
of The Joseph E. Shaner Co. in Baltimore will
continue as MAMBs executive director
and associate executive director, respectively.
The
induction of officers took place on the first
day of the 2006 MAMB Convention for which
more than 1,000 mortgage professionals and
affiliates were in attendance. MAMB leaders
are already at work planning the 2007 MAMB
Annual Convention and Exposition. For further
