The mission of the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers (MAMB) is to provide its members with the resources necessary to deliver the highest standard of service to the citizens of Maryland. A not-for-profit, voluntary association of mortgage brokers, MAMB serves as the "Voice of the Mortgage Broker Industry" in Maryland. As such, MAMB is active in Annapolis and Washington, DC protecting the rights of the mortgage broker industry.

The MAMB Legislative Center offers various opportunities for you to get involved with legislative issues that affect the way you do business. MAMB Legislative Report - March 2008

State Legislative Update Added to 2008 MAMB Convention Schedule

A dynamic new session has been added to the Maryland Association of Mortgage Brokers' "March Mortgage Madness" Annual Convention on March 12 in Baltimore.

"Update on Annapolis" will be a short presentation on the legislation and regulations that are being monitored in Annapolis. MAMB is currently tracking 14 separate bills being heard by the Maryland General Assembly. In addition, the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation intends to publish new regulations governing the mortgage industry. HR 3915 Passed in the House of Representatives 291- 127

Success! YSP PRESERVED. Today, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the final version of H.R. 3915, the "Mortgage Reform and Anti-Predatory Lending Act of 2007" on a vote of 291 to 127. MAMB Hosts Annual Legislative Dinner

MAMB's Board of Directors and Legislative Committee hosted its annual Legislative Dinner for the members of the Maryland House of Delegates Economic Matters Committee in Annapolis on February 19. The annual event provides the Association and legislators a casual opportunity to discuss various legislation that could impact the mortgage industry as well as legislative constituents.
